My Honest Good American Jeans Review

If you clicked on this post then you are probably like me, hearing so much about Good American Jeans and wondering if they are worth all the hype or not. Are they just popular because Khloe Kardashian made them? Did she actually make them or just slap her name on them? Are all the influencers saying they’re amazing just because they’re getting paid to? I asked myself these same questions, so I decided to finally find out for myself. Let’s get into my honest opinion in this Good American Jeans review!

What’s the Good American Jeans Hype?

If you’re wondering how the brand got so popular, here’s a little background. Well first, it’s a Kardashian, but also, Good American Jeans is one of the few denim brands that focus on body positivity and have body-inclusive sizing, meaning that no matter your size and whether you’re short, tall, slim, or curvy, you can find a pair of jeans for you.

They have a wide size range, ranging from 00-32! People love that with this inclusive range of denim, women of all shapes can find a great pair of jeans.

Despite the wide range of sizes, this brand promises a gap-proof waistband (curvy girls rejoice) for that perfect fit, creating a cult following around Good American denim. (They earned 1 million on launch day – wow!)

Fun fact: A lot of people don’t know this, but Khloé Kardashian is not the only founder. She co-founded the brand with Emma Grede, a marketing agency owner who later got into business with Kris Jenner and ultimately, Khloe Kardashian as well. So if you’re wondering who owns Good American, it’s not just the brainchild of Khloe Kardashian.

The Ordering Process

On the website, you can see all types of women modeling the jeans (not just Khloe’s sisters) and you can also see what the jeans look like on women of different sizes (which is pretty cool).

I was also impressed by the website because there’s so much info, tips, and different jeans styles. You have the typical “Khloe” jean style, trendy and distressed, but then you have classic styles as well.

I ordered the classic Good Straight in a size 4.

First Impressions

When I opened the package, the first thing I felt was underwhelmed. I don’t know about you, but I consider the jeans to be on the pricier side, starting at $99 and going up to $215+. Also, it’s worth noting that when I opened up the package the jeans reeked of chlorine.

All in all, they looked just like normal jeans. (I mean, everyone acts like they’re magic, so I wasn’t quite sure what I was expecting.)

Plus, they looked tiny. I got a size 4 (I wear a 2-4, or 26, depending on the brand) and I really thought they weren’t going to fit.

Good American Jeans Review

Though they looked small enough to fit a child, they have exceptional stretch, and I was able to get them over my body. (Praises be!)

I may have been underwhelmed at first, but I loved them more and more the longer I wore them. They’re stretchy jeans and the comfort level is unmatched. (Perhaps tied with my Madewell jeans!)

Sitting down wasn’t an issue and I could actually see myself wearing these to travel. They have a classic style of rigid jeans, but feel a lot more comfortable.

And bonus, they’ve got great lifting capabilities! The jeans seem to lift up my bottom and make it look rounder all at the same time.

This pair has a good waist too; they curve around my butt without any gaps in the back of my waist. I’m a fan of the high waist and these seem to hug me in all the right places.

One of my favorite things I love about these jeans is that they fit over my boots well. I love wearing boots under my jeans during fall and winter and these jeans didn’t move or get stuck awkwardly!

Are Good American Jeans Worth It?

They’re not magic jeans (because those don’t exist), but they are really, really good jeans. They feel like high quality and not only are they comfortable jeans, but they’re stretchy, classic, chic, and make your butt look good. I mean, what else could you want?

So let’s get to the only thing that makes everyone hesitate: the price point.

At the time, my jeans were only $99 and now, the Good Straight line has increased drastically (though hasn’t everything else?).

The jeans I got have both style and comfort and I can see myself wearing them for a long time, even more than some of my other jeans because they are more comfortable.

So, if you’re on the fence, it’s worth giving these a try because they are a top contender in my wardrobe!

At the end of the day, it’s a better use of your money to have 1 pair that you love than 5+ pairs that are just okay.

The Most Popular Good American Jeans

When jeans shopping, it’s important to find the best ones for your body type. Straight jeans are universally flattering, but there are a bunch of different styles for you.

Not surprisingly, the Always Fits collection is their best seller! The Good American always fits jeans promise to – get this – always fit, with no waist gaps and the right amount of stretch.

The Good Legs line is in this collection, and they have everything from a high waisted style to the skinny jean style.

The Good American Jeans Are Good

Unsurprisingly, Good American has branched out to a full range of clothes – with new arrivals ranging from baggy jeans (for Gen Z) to wide-leg jeans to animal print dresses to even coats.

If you want to give a pair of Good American jeans a try, then the Always Fit Good Straight Line is a great pair to try.

All in all, yes, it’s true, Good American jeans do make a good pair of jeans. However, they’re not the only options out there! Interested in giving different brands a try? Up Next: Finding the Perfect Jeans: A Comprehensive Everlane vs Madewell Jeans Review
