This black, white and blush pink tablescape combines a black and white striped tablecloth with pink and white place settings to create a beautiful Valentine’s table. A centerpiece made with roses and candles adds even more romance to the ambiance.
This year I’m trying something I haven’t done before. Hosting a Galentine’s Day dinner for a few of my girlfriends!
I love the idea of celebrating your female friendships the day before Valentine’s Day. Even if it did originally come from a TV sitcom.
To be true to the original show, I should technically be hosting a brunch.
But since Valentine’s Day doesn’t always fall on a weekend and I am not part of the “ladies who lunch” set (in other words, I have to work), dinner it is!
In any case, I’m going to need to set the table.
So I put together this Galentine’s Day blush pink tablescape in honor of the occasion.
I think it’s pretty enough to use for any event when you want a romantic table setting!
The Place Settings
For the place settings, I decided to use pink and white plates on top of white chargers.
The colors remind of roses.
So when I found pretty rose napkin rings*, I knew they were perfect addition to my table decor.
I love the combination of roses and greens. They add the feeling of spring to the tablescape.
The napkins
One of my favorite ways to get the “perfect” napkin is to pair 2 of them together.
One of them provides the main color or interest, while the other one has pretty trim.
In this case, I rolled a white napkin with black writing* and a gold-edged one* together to come up with the perfect match for my table.
The accessories
Some gold cutlery* and pink glasses* completed the Galentine’s Day blush pink place setting.
Finally, I sprinkled some vase filler in gold dots, pink hearts and pink flowers around the table.
The Centerpiece
Last week, I came up with some DIY floral centerpiece ideas that are really easy to make.
Since they also have roses in them, I decided to use them for my blush pink centerpiece.
I put down a gold-edged table runner.
Then mixed and matched a few of them down the center of the table to create a really pretty focal point for the table.
The pink really pops on the black and white striped tablecloth*.
The buffet decor
The stripes in the tablecloth and the row of roses down the center all draw your eye to the wall at the end of the table.
So I had to make sure there was something to look at there, too.
A Valentine’s Day floral heart wreath ties in with the roses on the table perfectly.
And the candelabras add even more romantic ambiance to the room.
Now that I have the table figured out, I can’t wait to host my girls night in 🙂
Of course, all of this will have to be away this weekend in favor of footballs and beer (Super Bowl party!).
But it will be easy to set back up now that I know what I’m doing.
